Upcoming Events to Attend in Myrtle Beach This Fall Looking to spice up your fall with a perfect mix of
There are so many things to do when you’re on a beach vacation including restaurants to try, shops to visit, and plenty of entertainment to experience. You’ll quickly find that those things can add up quickly. But you’re in luck because we’ve created a list of activities that won’t break the bank because they’re FREE for everyone to enjoy.
When you visit Myrtle Beach, one of the top attractions is the beach itself. You’ll have miles of white sandy beaches and sparkling ocean water at your fingertips, which won’t cost you a penny to enjoy. You can spend the day building sandcastles, reading a book, combing for sea shells, and splashing in the ocean without having to once pull out your wallet. Insider tip: get to the beach early at sunrise, and you’ll be able to experience the changing colors as the sun peeks over the horizon for a priceless view.
A fun place to venture is the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade. Stretching from 1st Avenue North to 16th Avenue North, the boardwalk is all oceanfront and features plenty of things to see and do. You can watch the Myrtle Beach SkyWheel take visitors up high into the sky. Make sure to check out the Gay Dolphin, which has been around since 1946. With seven levels to explore, the store is full of unique treasures and souvenirs.
While there’s plenty of beauty to behold in nature, be sure to visit The Franklin G. Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum to view some amazing works of fine art while you’re in town. There is no charge for admission to the only art museum in town, that offers you the opportunity to see 11 galleries along with exhibitions that constantly change throughout the year. These exhibitions feature a variety of artists and their works including sculpture, textiles, photography, video, collages, paintings, ceramics, and more.
Sure, strolling alongside the ocean is great…but what about walking out over the water? You can do just that when you walk on the pier. People love to fish off the pier and you can also check out what fresh catches they’re reeling in that day. The pier is the perfect spot to catch breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and watch the waves roll in. The best part is these million-dollar views are completely free.
Watching colors explode, sparkle and light up the night sky costs nothing when you’re in Myrtle Beach. Where can you catch one of these shows? Barefoot Landing and Broadway at the Beach. From now through August, you can watch the fireworks over the Barefoot Landing lake every Monday at 10 pm. The additional shows are 10 pm September 3rd, 7 pm November 19th, and 7 pm December 31st. Broadway at the Beach firework shows happen every Tuesday at 10 pm from now through the end of August. After that, you can catch them at 10 pm September 4th, 8 pm November 12th, 8 pm November 26th, 8 pm December 3rd, and 8 pm December 31st.
Next time you book your stay at the oceanfront Atlantica Resort in Myrtle Beach, make sure you take advantage of these activities and make some incredible memories…for FREE.
